About Khabarovsk
Located in Russian Far East, Khabarovsk is a port city in close proximity to the Chinese border. It is the capital city of the Khabarovsk Krai and the second largest city in Russian Far East after Vladivostok. Khabarovsk is located at the confluence of the Amur and Ussuri Rivers. The city was established as a military post in 1858. The city gets its name from Russian explorer Yerofey Khabarov, who explored and attempted to colonize the Amur River region.
