About Pittsburgh International Airport

In 1946, a new airport began to be constructed in Pittsburgh, due to the difficulty that Allegheny County Airport had in meeting the passenger traffic demands in the state of Pennsylvania in the United States of America. When the new airport was opened in 1952, it started to serve under the name of Pittsburgh International Airport. At Pittsburgh International Airport, international flights were started in 1968.
