Jakarta has a tropical climate. It is hot and humid year-round, with the wet season being between October and April.  We can say that the most appropriate time to visit the city would be between June and September, when the rainfall is at a minimum.
Public transportation is popular in Jakarta but we recommend you to use taxis since they are cheap and reliable. The traffic in the city is heavy as the city is crowded and intensely populated.
