Bus

Buses are an easy transportation alternative to get to Dortmund Airport. The AirportExpress departs from Dortmund Central Station and takes approximately 25 minutes to get to the airport. The AirportExpress provides direct transportation to the airport terminal. Another option is to take bus number 440, which passes through Aplerbeck Station along the U47 rail line.

Train

The public transportation system in Dortmund is well developed. The train stations intersect with the bus stops, creating a constant flow of transportation and easy connections. There are two options to get to the airport by train. The first is to get on the rail line from the city center and take it to the Aplerbeck Station. Then transfer to bus number 440. The second option is to take the train from the central station to Holzwickede Station and transfer to the AirportShuttle.

Car

Dortmund Airport is located in the eastern part of the Ruhr region. The airport is very easily accessible by car via the A40 and A44. The airport features parking lots that have the capacity to accommodate 5,100 vehicles.

It is very easy to get to the airport which is 5km away from Yüreğir district, Kayalıbağ and Reşatbey neighborhoods which are accepted as the city center.

Although they are not headed to Adana, there are shuttle services and HAVAŞ buses at the airport. However, these buses only go to Mersin and Hatay.

Municipal Buses

You can reach the city center by riding on the municipality bus number 135 departing from Şakirpaşa Airport, which is located in Seyhan district, the most crowded district of Adana. You can reach the city center, Çukurova University and Turhan Cemal Beriker Boulevard connecting to Girne Boulevard by bus which you can take from the bus stops at the airport.

It is also possible to take the bus number 135 to reach the metro stations running on Akıncılar-Hospital route. The buses run hourly between 6 am and 7 pm every day and departs from the airport and Çukurova University simultaneously.

Minibus – Dolmush

At the airport, you can benefit from the minibus and dolmush transportation, which departs at shorter intervals compared to bus; it is a more preferred option because of the short distance from the airport to the city center. There are two minibus lines as Airport-City Center and Meydan (Square) carrying passengers to the city center. It would not be wrong to say that minibuses and dolmush pass through in a few minutes in both directions.

Taxi

You can also take a taxi at Şakirpaşa Airport to reach the city center along the Seyhan River.  Taxi is not an expensive option, because the airport is close to the city center.

Car

Adana Şakirpaşa Airport also offers various possibilities for those who wish to travel by their own cars in the city. There are 9 car rental offices at the airport including 5 at the Domestic Terminal and 4 at the International Terminal.

The airport also has an outdoor parking area with 569 cars capacity. If you drive through Turhan Cemil Beriker Boulevard following the Barış Boulevard at the exit of the airport, this route leads you to Sabancı Mosque, Girne Boulevard, Yüreğir Coach Station and Adana Archeology Museum in the city center.
