The airport is located 20 km from the city of Hopa, Turkey and also serves as an airport for northeastern Turkey. The highway provides quick and easy access to the city center from the airport.

Batumi Airport is located 2 km from the city center. You can get to the city center from the airport by taxi, bus, rental car, or personal car.

Those who are traveling to Hopa, Turkey can take the Havaş shuttle buses. Havaş shuttle buses provide services for every plane that lands at Batumi Airport. Havaş shuttle buses depart for Hopa, Turkey 25 minutes after the flight has landed. The total trip takes about 45 minutes; you pass through the Sarp border and get dropped off at the Hopa Port.
