Belko Air

Belko Air provides comfortable transportation between the airport and central locations in the city, like Kızılay, Sıhhiye, Ulus, AŞTİ, Gar and Pursaklar. You can use the 45 passenger buses 442/A and 442/K by getting on at the stops opposite the exits on the domestic arrivals floor and international arrivals floor.

Buses are equipped with internet, feature hostess services and take off every 30 minutes from 5 am till 12am and every hour from 12 am to 5 am. Taking a Belko Air bus to get to the city is an affordable option.  

EGO Buses

The Esenboğa Airport is accessible by bus line 442-3, which passes through AKM, Ankara Arena and Güvenpark. The 491 bus line provides transportation between the airport and Ulus and Sihhiye but it only operates 3 times a day during the week.

Taxi

Taking a taxi within the city is generally affordable since the distances are usually close to each other. But taking a taxi to the airport is a more expensive alternative because it is located 28 km away. You can try to negotiate with the taxi driver for a lower fee.

Personal Car

The Esenboğa Airport has two parking lots. There is a multi-story parking lot, which allows for short-term and long-term parking, and an outdoor parking lot, which only allows for short-term parking.

Airport Information

Esenboğa Airport is frequently used by government staff and therefore features many amenities. Rijeka city center is located about 25 kilometers from Rijeka Airport and the journey to the city center takes about 30 minutes by car and taxi. In front of the terminal in accordance with flight times, taxis, buses and rental cars are waiting ready which are some of the alternative vehicles offered to travelers who want to travel from Rijeka Airport to the city center. If your priority is to travel more economicly to the city center the best choice would be to travel by the buses which are arranged in accordance with flight times. On the other hand, if your priority is to travel more comfortable and where you can carry your belongings more easily than an economic vehicle, an alternative you may prefer is the taxis that are ready waiting in front of the terminal. Rental vehicles are waiting for travelers who want to stay in the city for a few days or to explore different centers in the vicinity of Rijeka.

Bus

If you choose the airport shuttle buses departing in front of the Rijeka Airport terminal, you can complete your journey a lot more affordablely compared to other vehicle options. Also the buses to the city travel at the same speed as taxis and rental cars. However if you use the bus you may still need to use a taxi or a different vehicle from the city center to your destination. The journey time of the 25-kilometer route from the airport to the city center by bus is between 30-35 minutes. The cost of the airport bus to the city center is only 20 Croatian kuna per passenger. Buses travel through places such as Opatija, Kraljevica, Rijeka, Omisalj and Crikvenica. If you want to travel from Rijeka to a different city nearby, you can take the airport bus to the terminal and then change to one of the local buses traveling to other cities. There is no extra charge for suitcases on buses and you can make your payment when you get onto the bus.

Rent a car

When you depart from Rijeka Airport, you can complete your journey to Rijeka city center in minutes not hours by following the directions to the center of the city. Please note that in Rijeka, as in many other cities you must have an internationally valid drivers license for car rental.

Taxi

Taxis await passengers at the taxi stop out front of Riijeka Airport, for those who do not prefer buses and rental cars when traveling from the airport to the city. Although the buses to the city are not so expensive, the taxis are usually found to be affordable and the price is worked out by a taximeter system. The fact that the city center is not too far away prevents the taxi journey in Rijeka to be expensive, but it is not as affordable as buses.
