Airport Information

Sakirpaşa Airport is also open to international flights; the International Terminal, which has a capacity of 6 million passengers, came into service in 1997 and the Domestic Terminal came into service in 1984. Despite the potential of the passengers, the airport offers limited facilities to spend time.

For the passengers who use the international terminal, there are two restaurants and two buffets, one of which is in the clean area as well as a duty-free shop. There is a buffet in the domestic terminal and a café in the clean area. You can easily find a taxi at the airport especially during the periods with busy flight schedules. Although the fare of the taxis in Bukhara would depend on the distance you travel, it is possible to say that they are low generally. If you are not well informed about the roads in the city, you are advised to get information about the estimated route and fares from the driver in advance.

Car Rental

Getting to the center of Bukhara by renting a car is one of the frequently used transportation options. The close proximity of the city center to the airport results in a short car ride between the two. The things that you should keep in mind while renting a car is that you would be expected to have an internationally valid driver’s licence with you and to pay a small amount in advance. By following the road signs, you can end your journey in a short time with your rental car.
